The Forest Service Division of the Forestry Commission held a Community Engagement and Capacity Building Training in the project beneficiary communities.
The programme included important issues including nursery and seedling management, planting design, tending, beating up, and benefit sharing. Furthermore, participants also gained knowledge about Human-Wildlife Conflict Management.
The trained communities encompass those located in and around the Bekwai District Forest, Digya National Park, Nkawie Forest District, and other relevant areas.
This effort aims to improve community members' knowledge of sustainable forestry methods, establish a sense of shared responsibility for environmental care, and promote peaceful cohabitation between humans and wildlife.
